Donations

We are so very grateful for your support of our mission at Decatur Cooperative Ministry (DCM).

Nick Cribb's Lemonade Stand

Nick Cribb's fundraiser for Hagar's House

Your tax deductible contribution allows us to operate:

  • an emergency shelter for women with children
  • a transitional housing program for homeless families
  • a homelessness prevention program for families in immediate danger of eviction, foreclosure, or disconnection of utility service
  • a food pantry and a food cooperative that offers food security to selected low-income households

Without the support of so many congregations, businesses and individuals like you, our mission to alleviate the pain of homelessness could never be accomplished. For this reason, we would like to recognize and thank again recent contributors to DCM.

Legacy Giving

Legacy Giving (also called Planned Giving) is the act of coordinating a person’s personal, financial and estate planning goals with their interests in making lifetime and testamentary charitable gifts. Most planned gifts allow the donor to continue receiving the benefits of these assets during their lifetime after which only the remaining value is transferred to a charity at death.

Testamentary gifts can involve as little as adding an addendum (bequest) within one’s will or making a beneficiary designation in a retirement account, trust or insurance policy. For more information, please contact your financial and legal advisors or feel free to contact Bob Peach, our Director of Resource Development, at 404.377.5365, extension 5.

Please remember DCM when formulating your estate plans so your legacy of support can help sustain the future of our mission. Also, we would be very grateful knowing if you have already created a legacy gift and would allow us to add your name and blessing to a donor listing we’re planning in the near future.
