Decatur Cooperative Ministry offers homelessness alleviation and prevention services to at-risk and homeless residents of DeKalb County, Georgia.

Access to all of DCM’s programs is through a community-wide coordinated entry system; this helps to ensure that you are matched to the most appropriate program for your needs.

Homelessness Prevention

Project Take Charge offers rent assistance, mortgage assistance, and utility assistance to at-risk families, individuals, and seniors with documentable proof of impending housing loss or utility disconnection.

 

Housing Programs for Homeless Families

Decatur Cooperative Ministry offers several housing programs for homeless families with children.

Services include:

  • Emergency night shelter
  • Hotel/motel vouchers
  • Transitional housing
  • Rapid re-housing services

Hunger Alleviation

Project Take Charge operates a small food pantry for housed families living in DeKalb.

OUR IMPACT

Each year, DCM’s programs provide over 1,000 individuals with the resources they need to overcome

GA HMIS Privacy Policy

The notice linked HERE describes the privacy policy of the Georgia Homeless Management Information System (“GA HMIS”). GA HMIS is administered by the HMIS Lead Agency, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (“DCA”), operating on behalf of the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority (GHFA). DCA administers GA HMIS on behalf of the regional homeless services planning bodies (individually referred to as “Continuum of Care” or “CoC” and collectively referred to as “The Collaborative” or “CoCs”) in Georgia that participate in the statewide GA HMIS implementation.
